Sterling names Bahamian to head local IT operations

Stephen Tiller, President and Chief Operating Officer of Sterling Global Financial, announced the appointment of Timothy Maura as Head of Corporate Information Technology for the firm’s Bahamas operations, strengthening the technology foundation supporting Sterling’s fast-growing real estate and investment platform. Bringing nearly two decades of experience as CEO and senior technician at Itech Bahamas, Maura adds deep expertise in cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and enterprise systems, reinforced by multiple industry certifications and a technical background spanning firewall security, server architecture, networking, and fiber-optic systems. A Nassau native and College of Charleston graduate, Maura joined Sterling as the firm advances major development initiatives in the Bahamas—including the flagship $350 million Hurricane Hole redevelopment on Paradise Island and new projects in Eleuthera and Abaco—underscoring Sterling’s commitment to scaling its capabilities while maintaining a high-performance culture rooted in expertise, alignment, and long-term asset value creation.
